Absolute location
Relative location
The relative location would describe the approximate location of a place. For example saying that Tim Horton's is beside Target at Nanaimo North Town Center is a relative location. Relative location is useful if you are familiar to a place, or need to go to a location that is a smaller institution and is next to a larger building or company.

human-environment interaction
There are three types of human-environment interaction, this photo shows how we modify the environment. We bulldoze, pave and build on our earth, all to make it a more convenient place for us. This is a photo of a parking lot, and building and other human modifications. Although we plant trees near the human developed places, it doesn't make up for what we've previously done.

The second human-environment interaction is how we adapt to the environment. Harsh weather means that we don't always have the food that we need to survive, although today we might have more access to food, not all is presented year-round. This photo shows how we can adapt and preserve food for the times we need it. There are other ways we adapt to the environment as well, for example wearing thick, warm clothes in the winter, or sunglasses when it's sunny.
|
The last interaction is how we depend on the environment. We depend on the environment for many things, food, shelter, good weather, etc. One of the main things we depend on is its ability to provide oxygen for us, mainly through trees. This photo is of a life giving tree, giving out Oxygen, although you can't see it, we depend on trees greatly.

movement
Movement is the movement of people, ideas, goods and anything else you can think of. Ideas are transferred by people in such venues as schools or everyday interactions, while people get on planes, trains, automobiles, boats, bikes, or other means to then transfer more ideas and so on. Although at times people don't travel for that specific reason, I believe that you learn something new everyday, and even more so when you're in a new exciting place. This is a photo of me on a plane in 2011 to Nicaragua.

region
place
Man made landscapes often coincide with the natural physical landscapes, although in cities that isn't the case. Buildings, statues, works of art and other manipulated material make up much of the earth's surface and would be defined as a man-made landscape. This photo is a blend of the both, showing a building, road and other materials that could classify it as a man made landscape.
